**Congratulations to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mayuree Nasa Karn from the ITM Program for Receiving Funding for the Integrated Academic Service Project to Create Community Innovations for Sustainable Development for the Fiscal Year 2024**
The Faculty of Tourism and Hotel Management would like to congratulate Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mayuree Nasa Karn from the ITM International Tourism and Service Management program (English program) for receiving funding for the integrated academic service project aimed at creating community innovations for sustainable development for the fiscal year 2024 at Mahasarakham University. The project is titled "Design and Development Guidelines for Community-Based Tourism Routes in Tambon Kaeng Leng Jan, Mueang Mahasarakham District, Mahasarakham Province."
This academic service project is led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Methi Pirikarnnon from the Faculty of Architecture, Urban Planning, and Fine Arts, in collaboration with Asst. Prof. Isares Suksennee and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mongkol Karn. The study area includes Tambon Kaeng Leng Jan, Mueang Mahasarakham District, Mahasarakham Province.
The project involves collaboration with various departments at Mahasarakham University, including the Faculty of Architecture, Urban Planning, and Fine Arts, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, and the Faculty of Architecture at Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi.
The objectives of this academic service project are to study the physical, cultural, and social environment of Tambon Kaeng Leng Jan, covering various aspects of the community's significance. This includes researching community assets, religious sites, traditions and cultural areas, community restaurants, natural areas, and important historical locations. The goal is to establish the area as a community-based tourism destination based on the community tourism guide for Kaeng Leng Jan.
